My feet didn't hurt while wearing these at work. They didn't even hurt after. I had a hard time finding shoes that weren't all black and slip resistant. I still wanted something cute. I'd recommend ankle socks. The no show socks with these shoes cause rubbing on the backs of my ankles. My feet are constantly moving while at work so these were perfect for me.
